Compass toggle

can we have one, please? the first thing i've done entering a scene for the last several releases is toggle it off; i navigate visually. i understand why you want newbies to have access to the points of interest but the choice would be appreciated.

 

So, you want a way to toggle the compass but you know that there's already a way to do that?

 

i want to be able to have it default to off.

 

More you want it to save the last setting after scene change perhaps?

Hmm... it appears to be bugged. Once you turn it off it should stay off until you turn it on again. At least that's how it used to work.

 

ah, i figured it was a design decision. nothing else has lost its ability to remember state for me.

me too! I wanted to post this in bug but didnt. Same goes for the POV cycle.
