Actually I was thinking of putting it on a table.
I also hear gathering ingredients for some of Lord British's recipes will require a combination of PvP, field dressing and butchery....
If cooking and eating becomes mandatory I guess I am finaly out of here.
In the Nature to Nutrition segment (which was a long time ago). RG said that food would give buffs, but lack of food would take real life weeks in game to give a debuff.
So if that direction remains then it will never be mandatory, outside every fortnight or so while in an NPC town top off with some food to not get the debuff.
I could deal with that
Having craftable food decorations would be awesome! So many of the food items that are placeable as decorations look great, but are largely unprepared foods, and are quite large to place on a plate at a dining table. Having a bowl of Iolo's Cat Gut Goulash or something sitting on the table would look great. We should also be able to make pies, birthday cakes, etc...
when people come to my home (irl) they don't think it looks great with half eaten plates everywhere! I shall tell them they are wrong
THIS so much +1
We, the Bear Tavern would appreciate to show off the fine food we prepare for our Customers - all we can do now is put it into a vendor ...
Taking the "makers mark" OFF food items really made me sad, as well. I know it becomes an issue with "stacking" items but it was still nice to know who cooked something.
I cook all the time... high end food gives great buffs, and now that you can eat two... yeah love it.
This was pulled from the deep dark lol. I just figured I would make a point in saying that back 8 months ago this was a huge complaint (just like things we read today). Look at it today and they have a great system of food in place. I should go back early in 2016 and look at posts and update them "I told you so, this game is still under development and that stuff is on the road map".
now if we could decorate with cooked food I´d be really happy
I noticed last night that— in the "Cooking" section of our book— there's already a section for "Decorations", so you know they're thinking about it....
These were my choices of very good quotable comments
I always find it funny that when we speak of food, it suddenly is a thing that has a shelf life, yet when we speak of all other stockpiled items, the thought process dramatically changes.
If we have decay within our food stuffs, then it's buffs as well as it's prices should both increase. Food buffs can change through gaming mechanics and the price increase will naturally follow.
Lord British actually said "why not?" and he was talking about a real gingerbread and other houses made of food
Another general comment about our food, I'd actually like to see some food recipes that make sense The closer it is to actual cooking, the more it feels like cooking. Our recipes thus far are so off the wall that we are drifting away from immersive The hodgepodge cooking of our game I think indicates how many people that play our game order take-out food and have no idea what it's like to actually cook something that didn't come from a can or pop into a microwave
Yet speaking of microwaves I'd like to see some advanced Kobold energy ovens which could add to our recipe's enhancement of cooked foods.
Yet a real value of food in the short term, would be to make their valued skill enhancements stackable ...
We currently burn up allot of energy that magically appears out of nowhere and comes from nothing at all ~TL~
I like this idea, don't see why it can't be implemented once the art is done.
We can use crafted weapons as deco, so....
Looks good! Maybe in the mean time we can shout some food with our Kobold tesla rifles or the cloud cannon until then ~TL~
