Crafted A Constantan Ring - Does Nothing

I created a ring using 5 Constantan Wire.

I was under the impression that this would increase focus. However, it is just an ordinary 10 value ring that does nothing.

Was my assumption wrong? Or is this a bug? Or something not yet implemented?

 

Same with a necklace. Apparently a ring is just a ring no matter what fancy materials we use (ditto for a necklace) - it has no magical properties. But it can be enchanted, but no masterwork.

Yeah, Port needs to fix this. I recently made the same assumption as you that better metal produces better rings/necklaces and created a ring from meteoric iron wires. Nothing special. Same as plain damn iron ring. Dear Devs - please fix this issue. People are wasting good ingots assuming they will create buffed items.

 

I got the idea from using http://www.sotaqm.com/builder. It was right about all of my armor, so I thought I'd try this.

 

Yep, I've known others to make this mistake.

 

I wouldn't count on it too much, it has odd ideas about various bonuses for leather armors.

 

I do understand - it is a 3rd party source. I did check on sotawiki too, and it seemed like it would work. Ah well, live and learn. Or sometimes die, be resurrected by an ankh and learn...

I'd make a bug report on it. Either the recipe shouldn't take any-metal in that slot <or> it should give different result based on the metal.

You can add arrows to the get nothing no matter what you make them with.

I doubt it - there is nothing on it that distinguishes it from any other ring.
