greetings, i would like to make some kind of death/life priest build , does the life line go well with death line ?
I think in SotA they're not really very complimentary trees. The life to focus conversion spell in the death tree also lowers life attunement. They're both very useful trees though, so there's not much harm in putting points into them. You'll get use out of it down the road even if you go with something different.
There is a life/death combo called sacrifice which takes your HP and gives it to a party member. I think the school combo could definitely work.
tap soul is one of the main spells in Death which drops your life attunement when used and it stacks up pretty high. They are not very good spell trees to combo.
It actually works somewhat well. Use life to heal your team mates, death to heal yourself and do more damage. If you are going purely solo, it isn't as useful as death is better when you are lower health and for the reasons mentioned above.
With death, you will have no healing when dealing with undead. With life, you can heal and damage the undead. Sacrifice is decent, and you can lower the damage it deals to the caster with celestial blessing.
Great responses in this thread. Also note that the powerful artifacts in the game can sometimes heavily penalize the attunement of the magic trees opposite to their alignment. So far though, the healing artifacts in the game don't seem to have this characteristic.
Death and Fire work great together, if you go to fight undead i would have a deck set up for undead (earth, fire, life) I run both life and death, but switch when fighting undead. to earth fire and life.
Death is nice when it gets high level, you can use chaotic feedback to really up the dps and the death will keep you healed up.
