Decorating... and decorating some more... and decorating yet again

Is there no way to LOCK down items placed on my lot?

I don't know if this is a long-standing issue as have just started playing since things are now persistent. But if I have to place my shrubbery one more time, I may have to sacrifice a pigeon every 24 hours until it stays where I put it! :-(

 

I only know of a way to disable decoration editing altogether (not lock down piece by piece), but it works for me for now.

Go to menu (escape), game, then scroll down almost all the way until you see "Enable Decoration Mode" and uncheck the box to keep all items put.

It would be nice to be able to lock individual items, though, or a more easily accessible icon to toggle decoration mode on or off.

 

Thanks zyxe. I'll give that a try. The best I have been able to come up with so far is to make everything at least Co-Owner and not give any friend more than Trustee status.
Like you, I would like to be able to lock down individual items!
