Distract broken ?

Hi, i cant lvl up Distract. I try all animals or humans npc mobs. Im new to game and having fun except this distract issue.

 

@Leikinn74, i think there are two factors that may be affecting you:

a: you cannot distract a friendly creature. if you cannot attack it, you cannot distract it, so humans in towns won't work. in towns there are some animals who are neutral: dogs, sheep, chickens, etc. (but not cats). they have pale green name plates rather than light grey ones. they should work.

b: it will only level the skill if it succeeds in distracting something, and at low levels it fails a LOT. you may have to cast it five times in a row to see it work once. this improves as you level it and you'll reach a point where it works every time.
