I am very susceptible to motion sickness in games and SotA unfortunately did make me queasy as well. It is just one of those things you learn to live with as best you can or not play. Not playing SotA is simply not an option Im willing to consider.
Same here. Most MMOs do not do this to me. Some with textures that appear like they came out of Doom (Knights Home Wall covering), make me queezy.
Way back in the day, I worked with virtual reality environments at the Univ of FL. One of the biggest hurdles in VR is the human brains acceptance of VR. The nausea has many different causes, so it's different for each person. The most common reliever for the nausea is ample air flow. Try getting a small desk fan and letting it push some air right to your nose. Even taking regular full breaths instead of shallow breaths can make a huge difference.
I suffer from motion sickness/simulator sickness too, and this game didn't take long to start setting it off. Hopefully they can smooth it out some, but considering the graphx style I think it may be a problem for people who get carsick from games.
