    Well, if you include public holidays of *all* countries in the world of which even one player joins the game then most of the year will be 2X.
    Better leave it at public holidays of, not american, but US public holidays. After all Lord British´s residence is at Austin, Texas and Central Standard Time is New Brittanian Time.

    Since the XP refactor that was supposed to replace double XP hasn't been mentioned in a couple of years, it is probably not going to happen. So, if this is an issue, how about double XP's for: 1) release, from release patch going live through the weekend following release day, ending the Monday or Tuesday after; 2) a period of time around the solstices and equinoxes; 3) a period of time around 4 July, which is RG's birthday; and 4) a period of time around 1 January. Maybe the June solstice period extends through some day after 4 July and the December solstice period extends though some day after 1 January, combining each. The preceding would add up to potentially sixteen or eighteen periods of double XPs per year depending upon implementation, with the exceptions of releases coinciding with solstices or equinoxes.

    I though of Sealand ("Zeeland" province of the Netherlands), Sealand (Sjælland island of Denmark), New Zealand and your former WW2 fortress at the coast of Suffolk.

    Double XP is currently enabled for the Spring Solstice which is a worldwide event. (though, it is worth stating that St Patrick's day is not a US holiday)

    Our last 2XP event was for the New Year (which started prior to Yule and lasted through New Year)
    Prior to that the Double XP Event for the fall harvest festivals was in place (granted that does fall on Thanksgiving)

    What we call Memorial Day and Labour day (Spring and Fall) are Bank Holidays throughout the world


    We try to align Double XP, Sales and events with generic holidays, as much as we can. For the most part these align with Pagan festivals which in turn aligns with Shroud's game setting.
