Dragging Emotes from the Emote Window

I have a lot of emotes. I would love to use them more often. I can't bind keys to them, so I have to open the emote window, search though the list, and then double-click... or I have to remember exactly what to type in the chat window and press enter. Both of these take quite a lot of time.

Oddly enough, I can drag these emotes away from the window as "drama" icons that are the same size as the icons on my non-combat bar. I currently have 2 open slots on my non-combat bar that I'd love to drop emotes into.

Would it be possible to allow these emote icons to be dropped into open slots on the non-combat bar?
