One thing I would like to see added is the creation of denser housing. Not like citizen houses crammed into a small plot, but rather a multi-floored property. Could be an apartment block or a "mall". It wouldn't necessarily have to be a player owned building either. Could be an avenue to explore for players without plots: I know folks have talked about inns etc but I'm thinking of something a bit bigger.

I like the castle. But where is the island?

It's not much of an island, it's just large enough for the house to sit on it. It would be nice if there was more land so you can walk around a bit.

Well it's no more an island then calling the village houses on stilt supports island houses. To look at the dukes castle it just looks like he got his vassals to pile stones from the quarry into the water to form a foundation. There is really no island. Which is why I've been pushing for dukes to get 2 city lots, so we can actually get a "Dukes ISLAND Castle"

I agree, would be nice to have some land around that castle/keep.

I agree with you completely. In fact, I was the first to propose a double-city lot size for Dukes.

    Death-Knell...i couldn't have told better...

Anyway i got a reply from Darkstarr.
They are actually discussing internally and as soon as something regarding our matter is defined we (Dukes) will have news.

I'm pretty sure we could end up with something reasonable as 2 city lots merged into a Castle for us.

i felt that the city lot and house was too small for the lord of the manor so it made sense to me when i heard that they got a bigger lot. after all those guys are paying 10,000 to 12,000 dollars and it's the top pledge.

i don't feel the dukes deserve a bigger lot, it's only 1400 more than the baron3 pledge which is the only baron pledge you can purchase from portalarium at this time. for that price they get a much upgraded house/castle. one of them even on an island lot. plus the cool titles and items. that seems more than adequate compensation, plus they get better placement.

if you guys go down this route then next thing is the barons are gonna be complaining that they want a bigger lot, then the lords will complain. it's kind of silly really.

The dif between barons and dukes is really quite irrelevant, LOTMs pay twice as much as dukes and get 4 times the reward. That is not equal and it's not right.

... and that ignores dinner with Richard! And Akalabeth! And the bigger house! And the bigger basement! And... uh... anything else?

then why aren't you arguing for the same bigger lot for barons if the difference in price is irrelevant?

LotM is the top pledge, it should have the best perks and the best lot, which it now has.

I'm glad to hear they're discussing it internally, and am happy to wait for news.

Barons get a city lot, that is in line with the rest. Why would you buy a duke pledge when you get the same lot at a baron price. The price is irrelevant because it's on a sliding scale and developing a good ratio is impossible. Lords get town lots, barons get city lots....LOTM gets 4 city lots...see the jump there.

LOL....OK. Not to mention Akalabeth is worth some serious money. I almost went LOTM with what I heard that was worth, I just didn't trust the source and played it safe. But you've enhanced my point

I'm glad to hear it as well. Even though taking so long is shooting themselves in the foot. I would bet a few more duke pledges would be sold if there was an actual lot difference between baron and duke.

even if they decided to make a lot size between city and castle why would they give it away for free?

it's more realistic to expect things to stay as is or a 7500 pledge with a larger lot

I'm a Knight, and perfectly happy with my lot... literally and figuratively.

There is a appealing symmetry of the proposal to those competing for City lots... 4x for LOTM, 2x for Dukes, and 1x for Barons.
