Durability HUGE bug, this is where max dur is going.

    Repro rate, 70-100% ? still trying to 100% pin it down.

    Blocker - kinda its screwing up durability loss report rates and is what is causing max dur to vanish.

    What is happening is after being in combat with a 1 or more mobs in a zone, if you crash / zone /crash on zoning there appears to be a chance that your gear takes a hit.
    I heard Chris and his bear hours and it didnt stack up with what Id experienced so made some new armour and went to test it.

    I was in the Serp Spine Mines and times are times in combat (I started stopwatch for combat duration)
    so times dont include anything other than the fighting.
    5 minutes in all my gear was 100% and I crashed. When I resumed all my gear had taken 1 durability on current/max.
    25 minutes in my armour was as follows. (All had lost 1min/max due to crash and boots are enchanted so started at 40)

    helm 79/79
    chest 148/149 (1 min dur lost)
    legs 99/99
    gloves 49/49
    boots 38/39 (1 min dur lost )
    sword 59/78 (20 min dur lost 1 max dur lost)

    At this point I left the zone and it crashed.On logging back in stats had all lost 1 min/max and were

    helm 78/78
    chest 147/148
    legs 98/98
    gloves 48/48
    boots 37/38
    sword 57/77

    I then zoned out and met a wolf outside (green con to me) and killed it. No losses to Dur. I zoned in and then lost dur on zone in with no crash.

    helm 77/77 (1 min/max lost)
    gloves 47/47 (1min/max lost)
    sword 55/75 (lost 2 min/max !)

    I then crashed on zoning and also zoned multiple times with no losses.

    Went back in the mine killed 2 kobolds and zoned,
    chest went to 146/147 (1 min/max lost)
    sword 54/74 (1min/max lost)

    Outside I killed 3 wolves and 1 bear went into mine lost 1 Dur off All.
    Now armour is:

    helm 76/76
    chest 145/146
    legs 97/97
    gloves 46/46
    boots 36/37
    sword 52/73.

    I then fought 1 kobold, lost no dur, zoned and sword only lost 1 min/max :

    Sword 51/72.

    This is after 28mins of combat.

    I think this fairly conflusively proves something is happening to durability on zoning / crashing after being involved in some combat / a mob hitting you in a zone.
    Maybe this was intended to cause some cost in travelling the world but now with max dur changes it needs to be addressed. Also with the crashes it is exagerating its effect.

    @Chris Check this out, think here is your durability bug.

    Words can not describe how awesome it is to see a report with this level of detail in it. This information has helped us immensely in tracking down and eliminating this bug! I have implemented a fix that will be available in the next patch. Thank you!

    Hold off on that crate its still not fixed more data incoming ;)

    Did same again in and out of Serpent spine hills-mines and back.

    Started at 73/73 142/143 94/94 43/43 33/34 40/67

    Killed 3 wolves, lost nothing but took damage then zoned into mines
    on entry dropped to 42/42 32/33 39/66 - 3kills, 3 items lost dur.

    killed 2 kobolds, lost nothing, took damage then zoned out
    on entry dropped to 31/32 38/65 - 2 kills, 2 items lost dur

    killed 1 wolf, took dmg, zoned in
    on entry dropped to 37/64 - 1 kill, 1 item lost dur.

    killed 3 kobolds & 1 skel archer, took dmg, zoned out
    141/142 41/41 30/31 36/63 - 4 kills 4 items lost dur.

    killed 1 wolf, took dmg zoned in
    72/72 93/93 40/40 30/31 35/62 - 1 kill , 4 items lost dur !! damn there goes that pattern.... or does it....

    zoned back out, obviously took no damage (but had on the way in) killed 1 wolf, took dmg, zoned in.
    140/141 39/39 34/61 - 1 kill, 3 items lost dur - pattern seems shot to hell again.

    just to refresh were now at helm=72/72 chest=140/141 legs=93/93 gloves=39/39 boots=30/31 2Hsword=34/61

    Let a kobold attack me and he missed, zoned out, took no dur damage atall.
    zoned back in let a traffiker hit me for 2 lots of damage , zoned out, no dur damage again.
    zoned back in and killed traffiker , took a load of damage, zoned out
    33/60 - 1 kill back to 1 item taking dur again.

    killed 3 wolves and 2 bears, took dmg, also sword took a current dur hit in combat to 32/60, zoned in.
    71/71 139/140 38/38 29/30 31/59 - 5 kills, 5 items took dur, now i bet next time patterns shot to hell again. (kill less than in last zone)

    killed 1 kobold, took dmg, zoned.
    138/139 30/58 - 1 kill 2 items took dur.

    zoned back in without killing anything to test, took no dur damage.
    killed 2 kobolds, took dmg, zoned
    92/92 29/57 - 2 kills, 2 items took dmg

    killed 1 wolf, took dmg, recalled to resolute
    37/37 28/56 - 1 killed , 2 items took dmg, make of this pattern what you will :p

    Killed 1 watcher in resolute, took no dmg, zoned, took no dur dmg.
    Went into highvale, killed 1 bear, took only 2dmg from it, zoned to world map, took no dur dmg.

    Went back into highvale, killed 3 wolves and 3-4 thugs and about 7-8 elves, took some dmg, zoned to map
    70/70 137/138 36/36 29/30 27/55 - 5 items took dur damage, only one that didnt was legs still on 92/92

    Currently Im lvl 58, not that that matters Im sure. Any more info just ask. Hopefully you can nail it this time round :)

    Also I noticed its the weapon that seems to take the damage most often, this could also account for it appearing that weapons wear out a lot quicker, although I think they do drop a bit fast, and armour a bit slow once this issue is resolved.

    Forgot to mention, all the helm, chest and legs were Iron and the gloves and boots were meteoric iron, the sword was bronze, so I dont think theres any diffrence that I noticed in material types.
