Earth's Embrace is Slowing Too Much

Details:The Earth's Embrace earth skill is slowing more than indicated by tooltip for high strength individuals. At 114 strength it says that it should slow 11.9%. Instead, it is slowing me a larger amount than Testudo(25% flat slow). I tested times by relying on food to provide a timer, and running a stretch of the Ardoris Bridge(Top of the Stairs near the town crier until i hit the fishmonger's booth).
Times:
Full speed = ~7 seconds
Testudo = ~9 seconds
Earth's Embrace = ~11 seconds
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Set character strength very high (the higher the better for testing purposes)
2. Check the Earth's Embrace tooltip for how much the slow should be.
3. Time character speed with and without Earth's Embrace on

I have noticed that when I use embrace, the slowness it applies to me can differ and I havent been able to figure out what's going on. The effect icon has been all over the place, I've seen slowness effect anywhere from 12%-27%.

 

The tooltip's slow display is based on your strength. I've tested this a good deal and it appears to act consistently. The slow itself i believe is currently being calculated differently than the tooltip.

 

Ah ok, I use a lot of buffs for strength so that makes sense that I would be seeing different slowness. Thanks for the info.

 

Yeah, I originally noticed that as well. I ran some tests and spoke with people with large amounts of Earth Attunement about it until i had it figured out(though i don't know actual formula). Even unbuffed though I have enough strength that it is something like 26.5% slow - and the impact on my speed was something more like 35%+ which is totally off.
