This is, unfortunately, expected. You could choose to rotate the well to make the point of entry more accessible. I found that standing off the well and using it will give you an access point by the wall, but yet. Throwing a pathable object in a tight corner would not provide great results. The same could be expected of putting crafting tables against walls the wrong way. :)

If I stand exactly by the point of entry then I just walk in place, as on the picture. If I stand anywhere else and click on the well I walk to this point and walk in place (apart from when I path around the hedge, I've not had the patience to wait for that one to resolve yet). The thing that is stopping me accessing the well is the wall around the well. I am on the well, pathing should be finished, why is anything around the well relevant to where I am standing in the picture?

Or to put the question another way: the well has been in the same place outside the same house since R33, why is it only now not working if this is how you expect it to work all along?

I am not sure if it is technically possible, but the well looks like object that could have multiple access points?

Oh and just to clear something, if you manage to get inside of the well, you cannot harvest water:/

Don't think so. Whereever I started it tried to path to the point above where I took the screenshot. What stopped things was the wall of the well, not any other object in the environment. Here's a video of me trying several different starting points, note that I didn't at any point walk into something that wasn't the well:

As per my second screenshot: I can harvest water from on top of the well.

Maybe depends on the position of the well, I cannot harvest there anymore this release.

Might be the same with the well center. In any case my harvesting spot is bit to the side really.
