[Experiment] Using the gustball as a security measure

Anyone interested in helping me test out some gustball perimeter security tactics?

I'd like to put a group of players together... set out some gustballs and then spread out - basically removing everyone in the party from the target kill area and just wait for some mobs to walk into the kill zone. Could prove to be useful as a perimeter security measure, once Blood Bay opens up that is.

Anyone interested in experimenting with gustball tactics, carry a gustball during R37 and we'll mine all the ankhs... er, I mean scene entrances... doh! I mean that one spot in DR where the Ferocious Reds spawn. haha

 

I never thought of that, but that is probably the reason why they fixed Gustballs in R37. Ingenious, I bet people were using them like this.

 

what? they fixed them? what did they fix?

oh - that's a good change! should add an interesting twist to how I'd like to ultimately employ this tactic in Blood Bay.

Oh cool - looks like some folks are already doing this, and with some success it seems. I'll be spending R37 employing gustballs in as many different scenarios as I can find... and then work on ways to counter. Blood Bay is just one release away!
