    Hear me out...
Currently an item is just given a number of + added to it's name to denote how many modifiers it has. This is useless. My suggestion is simple, when an item is looted or crafted it's named based on it's modifiers. Instead of shortsword +2 it's sturdy shortsword of deftness which would 1. Appeal to a larger audience, 2. Be a QOL improvement, 3. Help the shops interface. Of course items can only have so many suffixes and prefixes but even if they only have one of each, its more useful than a number that tells us absolutely nothing.

In addition the automatic names that come from the stats e.g. in Diablo were sometimes hilarious
