finishing the bonesteel quest line

This is solo game. I still have "find kiakis in vertas" and "learn more in vertas" in journal. I completed the quest line out of order got the bonesteel crown and then went to finish the "find kiakis in vertas" and "learn more in vertas" when i left artifice the blacksmith took the dagger from me and because i dont have it anymore i cant finish "find kiakis in vertas"plus i cant continue on the "find out what happened with sequanna, the titan" of love quest line when i'm supposed to go look in solace bridge after leaving artifice with the bonesteel blacksmith with the free faun hephaestus and perri the unchained. i guess its because i haven't finished talking with kiakis before going to artifice and finishing the quest line. Is this something i need to reset my quests for or is there another way to get a bonesteel dagger.
