Fire Resist Enchants broken Completly

I doubt it woulda been addressed since it was deleted yesterday, so here it is again.

3. Blocker?High Fire damage, could block you out of dungeons or areas.

5. Steps to Reproduce:Tank the damage and evaluate
6. User Specs:Windows

Entering The Rise I tested full fire resist suit gear againts the mages. I then tested it while naked and came to the conclusion that Fire is not being mitigated by my armor.

The highest crit in full 140 resist gear was 268 damage.

The highest crit while naked was 260.

Normal hits were pretty much around what would be expected, 60-120's on both builds.

 

Not a critical/blocker issue. Please provide additional details for us to understand the nature of your report. Thanks.

 

Sorry, I thought it was critical because of the Fire Proof nerf in R40 basicly making The Rise Fire damage even more deadly

 

Ah, if this is in response to the designed change to Fire Proof which reduced its efficacy, this might be more appropriate for feedback and discussion.

Fire resist Enchants do not work at all

 

Whats the math for fire resist so we can test it? Is fire affinity part of the calc? How fire resist equipment should affect the calculation (like full set 140 points) ? Is douse & ice shield additive to base value or is base value multiplied by those skill %?

Its actually nothing to do with the fire proof change.

The video shows Valor in armour with full fire resist gems on sword, chest, ring and necklace (so 75 ish?) and how much damage is taken. The it shows removing all items and running in naked and taking the same amount of damage without the fire resist gems.

 

This would have been best clarified in the form of text for devs that don't have time to watch videos.

Reopening as a bug we'll review.

 

Thank you, i was having trouble explaining this to Attenwood. We could use a hot fix for this because people are selling fire gear and useing them with no effect.

Also douse and ice shield was not affecting the mages damage in the rise

 

I cannot just post numbers, I doubt you trust me that much to just say i got this and that. But now I have a video proving it. Im doing work too man. Jeez

 

A healthy combination of text "this is what the bug I'm seeing is" followed by "and here's a video that validates it" is usually a good rule of thumb.
