First thing you plan to do ingame?

Imagine the game has launched and you find yourself unrestrained within the world of Shroud of the Avatar... What is the first thing you see yourself doing ingame?





For me, I think the first thing I would do is just start heading in no particular direction and explore the landmass, look for interesting sights...

 

Looking for that perfect spot to place my shack!
The sun has to be just right...no noisy neighbors, no standing water ( I hate bugs), and there must be a tavern within walking distance as I hate to cook!

 

Well I think at this point I would already know where I am placing my house, from alphas, and betas, but i would head towards so the life of my Avatar could begin! I would probably not take the road, but cut through the wilderness to try and catch anything that might be hiding there. Along with gathering hidden resources for whatever trade I decide to use!

 

Explore! To echo the invisible wall thread a bit, I knew the reasons for it, but I did want to run off and get lost in the woods and mountains looking for a nearby dungeon. I'll probably also run around Owl's Head like crazy talking to all the townspeople for information.

And yes, there better be a tavern handy

 

No real agenda at the moment, I'm assuming most of the "newness" will have worn off from Alpha and Beta but I would look forward to exploring nearby hexes AND to see who all my neighbors are

 

Probably questing - talking to the nearest villagers I can find and seeing what's going on, and try to figure out the direction to go in to further the storyline

 

If you mean the final release, I plan to do a combination of exploring and doing the story.

 

I am going to run to my house and start yelling at you jokers to get off my lawn.

 

I will probably be trying to kill most of you. More than likely I'll be on the ground dead from my latest attempt.

 

Well, the first thing I would do is place my house. Then I would explore the town I'm in (i.e., get to know the NPCs and other players) before setting off into the unknown...

 

Pick my house lot. ^.^

No seriously... my house will be the thing I focus on for the first couple days probably. It's going to be my home base and the connection point between me and other players in many ways... I look forward to getting it setup the way I want.

 

So exciting to think about this really....I would assume my first venture will be placing my home...Still gotta decide if I want to be in, near or far away from the main city...

 

I will be behind Sir Kiron Maedun following from a safe distance. This will give me the perfect position to screen shot his first encounter with beasts and his subsequent death.

 

Choosing my house property location will be the first thing on my mind, and after that comes exploration and creating my guild.

In other words, my plan is to have fun!

 

Digging into the storyline, general character leveling, and resource supply building.

 

I Hope There Is A /crytearsofjoy Emote. That's The First Thing Ill Want To Do.

 

I would place my house and use my deed(hopefully by then knowing the general area I prefer).
I would then start to engage in dialogue with the NPC characters to get involved with all possible quests and try to remember the story line in the process.
Since I will be fishing trying to find the best water holes along the way.

 

No need since we're not able to climb over the 2ft tall fence

After placing my house, the same as you. Skin some animals along the way, chop some wood, craft some crap.
