While exploring Ulfheim and Spindelskog to map the location of the new monoliths I encountered a few usability issues that make their use a bit complicated...

    1) Not all monoliths pop up the explanation of what they do (eg. one of courage monoliths in spindleskog), and when it pops up it's very short lived and doesn't appear anymore afterwards
    2) The location of the totems is not marked as POI on the compass, nor simply on the map to remember their location, making it real hard to remember which is which and where it is in a hard zone like spindle... Even a simple "Monolith" POI would be cool to have, and then up to the player to mentally map the location on the map to what he needs.
    3) Virtue and Anti-Virtue monoliths look exactly the same. Considering the hint won't appear anymore and that there are no POIs, it's very easy to make a mistake and lower your virtue instead of raising it. Maybe add a marker to show it's an anti virtue totem ?

Thanks for the feedback! Issue #70875

I didn't want the hints for the Runic Monoliths to pester players too much, so I put a daily flag on them that means each type will only appear for you once each day. For example, if you get the hint for the "positive courage" hint for any Runic Monolith, you won't see it again for another day. I'm inferring you might not consider it a nuisance to see this every time you approach, and I could change it to be that way but I'd like to hear more opinions.

I didn't add compass markers because some scenes are starting to have their compasses cluttered with a mess of markers. However, there's a middleground I might try for the Runic Markers: I can add markers for each monolith, but each marker will only appear if you get to within, say 120m of the monolith. This means you'll need to know the general area of the Monolith, but once you get anywhere in the vicinity, the marker will appear on your compass.

I was hoping that the darker colors would be enough, but you're probably right. I'll try to think of a visual gimmick to make the positive and negative Monoliths stand out from each other better. Maybe a symbol above the Rune on the Monolith if it's a positive one, and a marker below if it's a negative one.
