Football fans?

Does anyone want to discuss the NFL or college football?

Someone just gave me a writing prompt of a sad Tom Brady eating a tuna sandwich while listening to the Sound of Silence. I quickly responded with:


Hello tuna, my old friend
I've come to talk with you again
Because DL lines are creeping
And this off-season I've been sleeping
Deflategate, lawsuits and suspensions on the brain
Still remains within the sound of silence


In public opinion I walked alone
In all the pairs of Uggs I own
I'm not allowed in training camp
To see McDaniels' latest offense revamp


Hernandez may have stabbed
And got in some gun fights
Calling me the villian isn't right
Benched with the sound of silence


And in the locker room I saw
Ten thousand groupies, maybe more
Recovering from Gronk's after party
Masshole girls who aren't listening


People writing blogs
That followers never share
And no one dares
Disturb the sound of silence


"Fools," said I, "you do not know
Manning's red forehead still grows.
Hear my tweet that I might teach you
Follow my feed that I might reach you."
But my fanbase, like silent Jags crowds fell
And echoed in the wells of silence


And ESPN bowed and paid
To the Roger Goodell they made
And the ticker flashed out its warning
And the words that it was forming


And the sign said,
"The words of the Woody Paige
Are written on the 4chan posts
And asylum halls."
And whispered in the sound of silence

 

This song always leads me back to the 'Sound of Cylons'...

 

That's awesome haha! I'm a huge football fan, mostly NFL tho. I usually only start watching college once they get towards the end of the season. Can't wait for Brady to come back this weekend!
