In my early tests, my pot in live is 25 fps, QA it was 43 standing in the same spot

Central Brit live probably 20 fps and on QA its 50

However, load into central brit was just about the same at 40-45 seconds, no improvement.

(note, 2 clients open at the same time so perf will be a lil lower)

    Title:
    Reproduction Rate:
    Blocker?
    Details:
    Steps to Reproduce:
    User Specs:
    OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1 (6.1.7601) 64bit
    CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-4790K CPU @ 4.00GHz (8) System RAM: 16333
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 GPU RAM: 8084
    SotA.EarlyAccess.QA.Win.64.509.Date.06.20.17
    Area: POT_desert_metropolis_01b_template/Virtue Oasis
    Area Display Name: Virtue Oasis
    Loc: (22.0, 38.7, 279.4)

Load times from "Resume / Start on World Map" screen into POT Virtue Oasis (Resuming from last saved location) :
    1. Comparative test on R42 Live Server (today) = 38 seconds
    2. Initial test on R43 QA Build 509 = 1 minute, 44 seconds
    3. Second test R43 QA B509 = 32 seconds
    4. Third test R43 QA B509 = 38 seconds
    5. Fourth test R43 QA B509 = 26 seconds

My findings are that after a longer initial load into a scene, successive loads into that scene are faster than or equal to current live build, at least for this same session (although they were not consistant). I'll have to test later whether the "longer initial load" will be required or if that doesn't happen again.

Initial run on OS X, in Kingsport where I usually would get 10fps, I now get 15-20fps. This is big.
I still need to try it other computers, particularly integrated Intel GPU.

    Inital runs thusfar:

    Specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 1800x @4.02ghz
    Ram: 32GB DDR4 3200
    GPU: EVGA Geforce 1080ti SC
    SotA.EarlyAccess.QA.Win.64.509.Date.06.20.17
    Resolution: 3440x1440@100hz

Two areas I ran through were POT Crossroads, and NPC Town Central Brittany
Settings set to Beautiful, all options turned on (Anti-Aliasing, Peripheral Lighting, camera effects, etc.)

Crossroads on R42: 15-20 FPS while running around town, depending on where I was and where I was looking, 25 FPS max while sitting still.
Crossroads on QA Build Beautiful: 30-50 FPS while running around town, depending on where I was and where I was looking, up to 60 FPS while sitting still.
Crossroads on QA Build Good: 30-76 FPS while running around town, depending on where I was and where I was looking, up to 94 FPS while sitting still.

Central Brittany on R42 Beautiful: 10-15 FPS while running around town if I was lucky, 18FPS while sitting still.
Central Brittany on QA build Beautiful: 15-50 FPS while running around town, depending on where I was and where I was looking, up to 50 FPS while sitting still. Minor hitching in some areas that according to the debug console seem to be related to meshes (produced errors in the console).
Central Brittany on QA build Good: 20-56 FPS while running around town, depending on where I was and where I was looking, up to 60 FPS while sitting still. Minor hitching just like on beautiful settings, same errors recorded. I think the only reason i'm "noticing" these more is because this stretch of my run is 30-45 fps on the QA build, but ~13 on R42, so i'm probably chalking it up as more FPS lag on live. They seem like total frame drops and really bother me

Load times actually in all areas are faster for me, whether moving to the world map or into town, this is initial load as well as subsequent loads. This is also a fresh install of the QA build, as i've never installed it before, and it's the standard QA launcher install vs the steam install of my main client. So I do not believe this to be a SenseMi falsification of load times being fabricated by Ryzen.

    Initial thoughts:

Heck of an increase in performance @Chris ! The hitching is a bit annoying, and I know you're working on some of these things still, but man i'm impressed. It should be noted my initial load into Central Brit produced 3 errors and over 100 warnings, and the warnings in the debug console all related to not enough virtual channels for audio, or JobTempAlloc has allocations that are more than 4 frames old, likely a leak. I look forward to seeing the final put together build of this for the full release

Good idea! My Dell Prescision laptop is older now but still has 8 gigs of ram, 4 core I7 and a quadra 1800 in it and cant even play the game (3 fps). I should install QA43 on it and see how it runs now.

My initial load time testing -

    Central Brittany:

    1st scene load - 3 minutes, 10 seconds :( - this is worse than what I see on R42 (is around 2:30 on R42)
    2nd scene load - 1 minute, 35 seconds
    3rd scene load - 1 minute, 10 seconds

Good work so far on those second/third scene load time improvements! Keep up the hard work on figuring out how to improve initial scene loads, as that load time is still way too much.

    Specs:

    Win 10
    intel Core i5-7200U @2.5GHz

Blackrock Cove is now loading in 30 seconds instead of 1 minutes and 30 seconds.
    Keep up the good work.

    1. 35 sec.
    2. 35 sec.
    3. 33 sec.
    4. 35 sec.
Way too short to savor a good drink. ;)

But fps isnt good at all: 15-25 and much micro stuttering.
Spec: i7-4790K @4Ghz, 32Gigs Ram, GTX 1080 Ti Xtreme, Win 10, 2x 2560x1440, SotA only on one Display, Settings: Beautiful, Shadow Distance: Maximum

To enter my PoT Dracheninsel, I need 44 sec. and have 27-60 fps.

    PS:
    Celestis
Loding times same as Ardoris, but even more stuttering at slightly higher fps.

Ok I've done some metrics in Xenos and Etceter. On my setup the load times are better on QA by a few seconds to almost twice as better depending on the scene. But the FPS are virtually unchanged and the stutter is actually worse on QA.
Here are my specs and results.
Running on Beautiful and Shadow Distance Maximum
    Specs:
    Win 10
    intel core i7 7600k @ 4Ghz
    16gb Ram,
    1tb Samsung SSD
    Geforce 980ti SLI
    Resolution 3440 x 1440

    Results

    QA Build 512

1st time loading Novia :30 seconds VS 30 seconds for R42
    2nd time loading Novia : 20 seconds VS 27 seconds for R42
    3d time loading Novia : 16 seconds VS 25 seconds for R42

    Entering Etceter from overworld :

    1st time: 14 seconds VS 29 seconds for R42
    2nd and 3d time : 13 seconds VS 25 seconds for R42

    Entering Xenos from Overworld:

    1st 2nd and 3d times all took 25 seconds VS 33 to 34 seconds for R42

Entering Etceter from Ferry in Xenos

    1st time : 27 seconds VS 30 seconds in R42
    2nd and 3d times: 23 seconds VS 29 seconds in R42

Entering Xenos from ferry in Etceter

    1st time : 32 seconds VS 37 seconds for R42
    2nd time: 30 seconds VS 37 seconds for R42
    3d time : 35 seconds VS 43 seconds for R42

All in all load times are better. From what I've tested scenes load from anywhere between 3 to 15 seconds faster (depending on the scene and where you enter it)
FPS wise, it's actually worse for me. The FPS is virtually the same, but the stutter is a lot worse in QA build 512, compared to R42.
In Etceter, I'm getting anywhere between 13-56 FPS in QA and R42
Xenos is 11-22 FPS in QA and R42
Overworld 30-50 FPS in QA and R42

But the stutter in Xenos and in Etceter is way worse in the QA build.

    Hope this helps!

    My experiences so far:

Huge increase in fps across the board, I can even run beautiful in some areas now as opposed to being unable to fight while even on fastest.
First time i've felt comfortable switching up (didn't leave it that way) for over a year.
Two of the worst scenes have shown over 3x fps improvement during combat, with most of them showing 2x.
Stuttering is still there, but is back to ~R33 levels, which is a marked improvement. Will continue to test over the evening to see if anything sticks out as singularly stuttering.
