These free bows are much better than what the game gives archers at the start. These free bows are in a public chest at Dr Wiz's Place north of Britany along the coast. A better bow really helps archers get leveling quicker and also get money to buy a better bow. Also see my videos on the best archer build - in the videos section of the forum. Don't waste your points like I did for way too many hours.
