I'm not looking to get into any fights with frost giants yet, but feel as though I've run all over Jotungrund in the course of many visits there, and I've never yet seen a giant. It has me wondering whether they occupy a particular spot which by chance I haven't found yet, or whether something needs to be done to actively summon them, or whether they spawn randomly in different locations so that on each visit I just happen to miss them... any clues from players in the know? I tried the wiki but there's no specific detail about their location, and the scene is too huge for me to comb inch by inch.
there are three large platforms all the way at the far end of the scene from the entrance. he'll randomly spawn on one of the three as you get close.
There's three plateaus in the southern half of the map, spaced equidistance and running west to east. The giant will be on any one of those platforms, and once killed, will spawn randomly. edit: I've been swooped by the Oop! Back to Mavis Beacon for me.
I guess I've never looked at all three platforms in the same session, only whichever ones I happened to be running past on my way to a signal tower. Thanks!
