granite blocks

I'm not seeing granite blocks in the recipe book under smelting or anywhere else, or on the owls head recipe vendor! the 1 x 1, 1 x 2, etc

 

I lost all the stone item recipes from my book of recipes, trying to make some again and while many are the same, some old recipes now make different items (seems like they make the recipes that you can now buy from the NPC) - 50 blocks plus tongs and chisel used to make a 2x4x2 rough block, now makes a stone inward corner castle wall, for example.
