Grannus Colossus Preview

Here's a sneak peak at progress on the Grannus Colossus!

This Colossus map is located in northern Novia, and houses the giant Colossus statue of Grannus, titan of courage.

As Boreas was to the path of truth, with solving puzzles and using clues to progress to the colossus, this area is to courage (pitched battle against barbarian cannibal tribes of the north).

if Boreas colossus tests my 'truthiness' and I need to take out a ghost corpion to do it, I dread the nasties you're going to stick in here!

Hopefully it will not be too hard since you get a full lens at Boreaus and the Grannus lens needs some TLC.

This gives new meaning to the phrase... "Say No to pot"!

This scene is looking great and I can't wait to see what kind of puzzles it will have.

Spoiler: Truth vs Hurt

if Boreas colossus tests my 'truthiness' and I need to take out a ghost corpion to do it, I dread the nasties you're going to stick in here! - You don't HAVE to kill the ghost corpion, or the dragon, or the giant slime. In fact I was hoping players would jump down in that pit to get away from him. He is super hard though. Considering making a shortcut to bypass some super hard stuff here if you're playing offline single player. That way it'll still be a good destination to go fight some super hard stuff in a party but won't block offline players.

Not so many puzzles in this one... unless 'how many cannibals can I slay and nod die myself' is a puzzle.

 

Your right, you can easily make it threw boreas with out killing anything except a few imps and a wind elemental or 4. The wind elems are actually avoidable. *hint if the scorp does nick you on the way into the pit try douse.

I wish boreas had this hard stuff in it, but its a good dung just not a whole lot of replayability in it. The dragon is a decient farm though.

Mabey @DarkStarr he can drop another good farming zone in the area (boreas).

 

How does Douse help against a ghost corpion?

 

Cleans off his dot, its vicious.

Remember in my example running past him into the pit, he migh get a shot on u. Use that !

 

It's only supposed to work against fire DOTs, not poison. This sounds like a bug to me.

 

Read his dot again.

 

I think it's o.k. that not all maps, especially story-line related maps are farm areas. That is not to say we don't need more re-playable maps to go fight in for a while. That's exactly what I'm hoping Grannus will be.

Poisonous Bog Approach


Failing a land assault against the cannibal tribes, Norgarders attempted to land on the beach approach. It is rumored they were delicious. (Remember, our friends here the Bandits will be art-swapped for 'Northerner' character art, which is looking cool so far i.m.o.!)
