graphics driver crashes

    Title: graphics driver crashes
    Reproduction Rate: 3 times since patch 900
    Blocker? yes
    Details: nvidia 415.27 (latest short lived branch) going to solid white screen.

    log says

    xid 16 is "Display engine hung". no, really?

    I've had a couple of CTDs since R62 started as well, started in R62, R61 was stable. Not a real huge deal as I can play for long periods with it being normal. It's crashed on start a few times and once while loading something and it's usually when I need to quit anyhow.

    was there perhaps some change to the way lag is handled this release? i'm noticing that it only happens in scenes with other players. the last one (as all of them have been, save a couple on the overworld) was in upper tears: the game log shows, say, an average of 8 events a second from me and my party members, then nothing for 9 seconds, and then the next second has *77* lines showing. that's the last second that was logged before the crash. there's no lag visible on the screen while it's happening, so i don't know why there'd be a lag in logging.

    that last event if someone wants to look at it was

    [2/21/2019 3:13:33 PM] Sardos Ranger attacks Lich Fighter and hits, dealing 65 points of damage from Knockdown.

    if it's a multi-player lag issue, that would explain why i didn't see it on qa.

    a crash to desktop is not a hung graphics driver. all y'all can make your own threads about those.
