Harvesting Skills Review - Thoughts of a GM Mining Machine

Good info, I agree that MC needs to be fixed... it really feels as if you penalize yourself. You only have a slight chance of getting MC and even lower change to getting multiple MCs, and you need to work for it SO MUCH harder, as far as leveling exp required.

 

Does anyone know what skill affects your critical rate?

 

Good question. Seems to be the basic skill but who knows.

 

Seems but without confirmation on the math as far as what I do for mining without certainty on what affects it speed seems to be the skill to pump into.

 

They just gave out the data on real crits, time to release info on harvesting crits!

 

Have you actually tracked the differences in xp's required for MC vs base skill vs SG for the same levels in the same tree ?

 

have 2 of the mining skills at gm and meticulous and survey are just practically there 1 or 2% off. Would be nice if it opened up new nodes, or made it where you needed a certain skill level in survey to even see the node. Makes sense with Meticulous mining and rarer drops like tung,tin,nickel. I've seen a decrease in getting these.

 

Each meticulous whack should roll on the rare table unless you already have succeeded in getting a rare.

Meticulous does increase the subsequent speed of strikes by a little. Perhaps increasing this further would narrow the margain

 

It's a LOT more, at least double, easily.
