Has harvesting been (beetle carpice) nerfed?

Has harvesting high ends been nerfed? I could not find anything in the release notes?

I spent many hours going for beetle carpice and the spawn rates are drastically reduced.

 

They reduced *rare drops * from harvesting overall i belive.
Think it was pretty clear with the difference in nickle and tungsten being dropped ( a guy recorded the dif in a different thread ).
I imgaine cotton and trees followed suit.

Wait what? Cotton and Wood already sucked for drops, if they were going to be adjusting anything, it should be for more drops of rares from those nodes, not less.

Well. Nickle and tungsten was close to a 2 to 1.. so i dunno if i agree with you on that. As for beetles.. was about a 3 to 1 if your doing high level. Emerld ash n bark was peobly 2 to 1..
I dunno i dont miiind it.. but cotton is and was a pain to do beetles.
And suet is still easy as all hell even with the reduce.

 

Mainly because there are tons of wolves and other skinnable enemies compared to cotton bushes.
Harvesting enough wood to do some serious carpentry is already pretty hard compared to mining. But cotton bushes? Maybe there's a good location that I haven't found yet, but in general it seems impossible to rely on cotton bushes for tailoring even for the cotton. Beetle Carapaces are even harder to gather...

 

Thats where pvp zones kind of excell. One outside desolis for example has high end cotton bush and wnough you can basically do laps.

 

I've noticed this too! I was in the mines for quite a few hours, and came up with one gem (of the sort I was looking for). Seems rare drops are lower.. good thing fragments can make a whole gem I guess. And, unrelated perhaps, but I haven't been able to find a Triangle Shield drop since I started looking for them! Did they remove those? Drop tables may have been adjusted for many things, or I am very unlucky!

 

Honestly id be okay with gems being lowerd too. I probly have 50x of each full gem just sittin there.. and they dont sell worth ****.

I don't think they are. I am starting to stockpile beetles since they are not selling for 420 gp anymore in my vendor in Solania.

I have 10 now doing nothing.

 

I noticed this last night...the only rare I found harvesting seemed to be suet. Definitely a difference.

 

I have not noticed significant difference in a 5 skull zone. I got the carapace almost every other raw cottons I harvested.

Might just be good RNG, too.
