    Well I have a pretty big house so I literally spent days robbing houses and need to reverse the damage somehow. I have been giving gold to beggars, answering guards when they ask my name. Anything else I can do?

    I didn't go into Lord British castle though, that would be treason against the crown.

    You could always ask for a reprieve from Lord British. In fact, if he were to grant these in game in his castle, I'm pretty certain there would be an extremely long lineup all the way to the entrance of Central Brittany :D
