Hi folks, inspired by this thread I decided to write this post :)

A question to all of the old Ultima 7 fans:

Is this game, indeed in an actual and modern way, what all Ultima 7 fans are expecting?

Tried the alphas some times, and I must admit that I was a little bit disappointed. However - I only tried the game for some hours.
    • So the final wipe is near, how is the actual state of the game? It is enjoyable as an offline game also ( I like to play the mmo part as well - there are so many good people I know and I look forward to meet. Anyway - my focus lies on the story and offline part) ?
    • What is the strategy and the scheduling for the offline part?
    Thanks!

Right now, if say it is very lacking in comparison, but I keep hoping they are holding off on story content until launch. Do not think that is possible anymore, but I am still hoping.
I have some fun but playing, but combat AI is severely simplistic. Again, waiting and hoping.

I kneel before the shrine of Ultima 7. Ultima 4, 5, 6, 7, SI are my idols.

Shroud does not feel 'Ultimaish' to me- but rather haphazardly assembled.

U7 flowed so well. Interaction, movement, UI was fluid.

Shroud is not what I expected.

    Didn't test R31- no interest.

I agree 100% I wasn't even expecting much but I play Shroud of the Avatar every few months hoping at the very 'least' I can do something like throw an object on the ground and it will stay there or interact the world some how. Since the game is not even open world (ironic since LB is the one who basically invented open world sandbox) I hoped there would be world interactivity..etc...at least to the level of Ultima VII-Ultima IX and UO but there's next to nothing and at this point it feels stale. I run around in a very small map that's equalivant to the size of a shooter map and don't even know what to do.
