I did not buy any, because others need them. I have 3, and that is more than enough.

Heh, as for psychology, Chris' post might have been posted by developers to make people spend more money on the raffle despite the lowered odds so they can remove more gold from the economy to reduce inflation. Don't fall for this! ;)

    @Chris
Do players need to keep tickets on their characters to win or can everyone store them in the bank?

I can't store them in bank cos my bank slot less the 200 slots. But I think they can be anywhere because the tickets are not transferable.

I guess providing lottery would be cooler then subscribing to them. Then again, you will need uncool people to support the cool people.

That bandit plundered 100k from me. Looks like I contributed 20 lottery tickets to the thieves den.

Where will all these ill gotten deeds be placed? The rich folk might want to steer clear of the area.

It is cool in a sense that we have made your lottery better since now that 20000g prize is a larger percentage of the the total gold value in the game :D

I'm still trying to figure out what I need a property deed and a house for o_O So far all I use is a single trunk inside it and the rest is either eye candy or dead airspace ...

So far we seem to be playing the game based on outside game concepts of real life where our characters need to save gold for retirement and buy houses as if we can go to sleep feeling safe at night o_O...

Sense our @Chris has decided to be our helper in all of this o_O we need a few more things from you :D

    • We need our Avatars to age so we slow down as we get older, yet can drink more than the average young buck.
    • We need to implement sleep, where our characters need less as we get older.
    • We need our smoking habits to cause us to become more focused, yet negatively effect us when we don't have any (also add something to smoke).
    • We need for our Avatars to require sleep, or at least to help our Avatars feel better and become more combat aware.
    • We need our Avatars to start sneezing during combat if we've been sleeping anywhere besides indoors or in a pitch able tent.
 So get to work on all those and we'll have more demands later, or your pet bunny rabbit get's it and we cause your house servant to disappear...

The most important question no one has asked....
How the heck did someone get 3,000,000 gp since r32?!
    Honestly how?

I think Ive spent 100,000gp on regs, yes I am broke....

Yeah not understanding the math either. So 10 people buy 1 ticket. Everyone has a 1 in 10 chance of winning. This guy comes and buys 600 tickets, now everyone has a 1 in 11 chance of winning, so the extra tickets didn't count for anything?

Same as for Mykll. The understanding was, that every ticket counts. If I buy more tickets, I have a higher chance for the next lottery.

Please explain the math better, what is the use of extra tickets?

    a) Each of the tickets has a chance to win a deed, so he can win 1-600 deeds in this lottery.
    b) Each of the tickets increases the chance to win a total of ONE deed for this lottery.
    c) Only one of the tickets will be used this lottery. All others will be used for the following lotteries (one per lottery).
    d) No use.

In case of b-d I expect the bandit lord should be quite pissed and you should allow his team to reshuffle their deeds. Thus, give each bandit one ticket to increase the chance to get more than one deed.

What Chris is saying is that they are drawing 600 winners so the purchase of 600 new tickets decreases the previous odds by 1. For example, if they had sold 3600 tickets previously, the original odds of winning would be 1 in 6 (3600/600). With the purchase of new tickets, now they have sold 4200 tickets and the new odds are 1 in 7 (4200/600). That is a hypothetical example since we do not know how many tickets have been sold but the bottom line is if the old odds were 1 in x the new odds are 1 in x+1.

If the odds work like this then it seems you can win multiple times because according to the math, it seems like the non winning tickets of a person who has already won stay in the pool of tickets to be drawn.

Spending on regs as a spellcaster is a sure way to not get said amount. I'm a fellow spellflinger as well and I know your pain personally.

Just on the Lich spell itself, I have spent about 100k on reagents, and it is nowhere near maxed level. (In fact, skill lvl about 60.)

There should be warning labels in game on the bags when greedy alchemists sell reagents to us.
