Venger, why must you always be such a pain in the rear? Of all the topics you could discuss, you seem to always choose something negative.

Venger, your concerns are things that I myself have contemplated...I think things aren't going to be ending up the way a lot of people around here think things are going to end up.

Maybe follow the same rules as GTAV put into place? anyone caught hacking/cheating/playing unfair gets put with all the other cheaters for a set amount of time, as things will probably be very easily edited in the game they can fix cheats/hacks pretty quickly I'd assume.

It doesn't matter how much someone pays for a game, they're still bound by the end-user license agreement which, I can almost guaruntee, will state that any sort of detrimental behavior towards the game and other players will be dealt with.

They can't stop a $5,000 backer from buying a new copy of the game, but they can lock out his super expensive account. At least, in an ideal world.

Indeed, why might I do this? That's actually a very good question.

I've paid good money to this game, yet I'm not a weathly person by anyone's imagination. So why would I continously bring up negative topics?

It could be that I'm a troll.
It could also be that I'm really stupid.
It could also be that I'm both a troll and really stupid.

There are other factors to consider however...

Personally, I'm of the mindset that I'm just trying to address the topics that I care most about during the development of the game in the hopes that one of the developers will stumble over one of these topics and think "Gee, I never really thought of it that way." Because if there's one thing that the developers have a lot of, it's thinks to think about. So the reason I'm doing this negative topic thing is because I want this game to be so good when it's released that I never make another forum post in my lifetime. I want to just PLAY the game.

I have this theory about game forums and it goes like this. If you're posting (often) in the forums after the game is released, then the game is broken and you should really find another game to play. But if you're not posting often in the forums prior to the game being released (or every post you make is a positive restatement of the obvious), then you probably deserve the game you're about to get.

I base this theory on every game that's ever been created to date. I also believe that it should be the goal of every development team to reduce forum discussion over time, while increasing subscribers. To me that's one way to know that you're serving the fans well.

I had this theory that, game forums are usually released after games come out or are at least playable.

I had this theory that, some people post on forums about things topics other than issues with their related game.

    My theories must need revising...

I hope minimally. Bad behavior is allowed, just be prepared to deal with the consequences.

It seems the only one with any consequence is RG since he is expected to listen to all the drivel from those who break the rules.
