Seems once you enter a town and get past the siege, the life inside the town is QUITE indifferent to what goes on outside of its gates. Perhaps some varying effects inside the town can be felt?
    • NPC Vendors slowly increase the cost of their goods, as demand becomes higher than supply (remember, these vendors are cut off from their sources to supply you!)
    • The government taxes you more for sales at your vendors to help fund the war effort, so until you break that siege, new vendor sales will require a higher tax
    • The government taxes you more for rent, the city's soldiers need new underwear, as the cabalists at our gates are scaring the poop out of our guards!!!
    • Unscrupulous players should be able to prosper well during a town's siege by completing quests to horde resources and sell back at crazy prices to the local populace. Opportunists should be able to benefit from war, albeit their virtue will suffer greatly.
    • Dare we offer a way for players to betray the town and join the efforts of the Cabalists? Perhaps they can report vital information back to a particular Cabalist, hidden within our cities as a quest.
Also, it would be nice if there were solo and group objectives for these sieges. Quest NPC's should be at our gates as we exit, to help us learn of our objectives within the siege, and so we can come back to the barracks and report our successes and receive our due rewards for defending the city.

    Just some thoughts ;)
