If I rename an item...

...and then place it on my lot, why does it need to still have the original name included in parenthesis like Name I Gave It (Its Original Name)? I'm not trading it or putting it on a vendor, it's being used as a decoration on my lot and the name I gave it is also in orange! So why do I have to see the original name?

 

That's a pretty good question because our placeable vendor NPCs don't seem to have that issue. I agree it would be good to have renamable items only display with the names we assign them.

(At least, so long as they're not being listed on vendors as sellable items. I don't want to encourage people to misleadingly label items for sale)
