[Info needed]Linux Launcher is reallllly slow to start game!

Using the archive version of the launcher for general linux (still can't get the .deb package to install), starting the launcher itself is same as normal, but the time it takes to launch the game after clicking that button is horribly slow, with no indication that it is doing anything.

 

@Alley Oop are you seeing this as well? I'm wondering if this is related to the other unity bug where you are unable to click anything until you switch the game to another monitor.

 

@Archer what desktop environment do you use for linux?

 

ignore me, i hadn't noticed at first he was talking about the launcher.

 

Ubuntu's default for this, which I assume is Unity? Other details are:
User Specs:
OS: Linux 4.10 Ubuntu 17.04 64bit
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 1700 Eight-Core Processor (16) System RAM: 32169
GPU: GeForce GTX 1060 6GB/PCIe/SSE2 GPU RAM: 6144

 

Let us know if you still see this happening under build 513 pretty please.

 

Sorry, I can't. I only use the launcher for QA. For main release I use Steam.
I'll try the steam version tomorrow, when it has updated to 513.

EDIT: Oops, just realised this was an old message. Apologies, my machine with email and forum links, etc. crashed last week and I'm just catching up.
