[Info Needed] unable to craft Yule Stocking

It says I have an 95% chance to craft the stocking I fail each time. I have tried about 8 times but yet to succeed

You can't learn this recipe by trial. If you put the ingredients on the crafting table, you will not get the message 'unknown recipe'

@Cassandra Corax: with an 98% chance it works, so try again

 

it will not say unknown recipe it will use resources and then it says "failure" what I do get is a skill increase . But yes maybe my skill is to low. Still I think at 95% it should be successful after a few goes

 

I didn't have any issues crafting them either. I was successful on first try with 95% chance.

 

I finally managed to craft one going from tailing 25 to 41 using alot of cotton not sure why it took that long for me. But hey I got one stocking

 

So don't forget to put it up the chimney when the time has come to. No doubt Santa will put some add ons in it.

 

Reviewing this report. Was the bug resolved? Is there another issue that was discovered?

 

Usually you can try to learn a recipe by trial. If you put the right tools and components on the crafting table, it discoveres that you try to do an unknown recipe. You will get a message from the table. If your producer level is high enough you will get a try and learn the recipe by this way.
But that won't happen if you try to explore the yule stockings. If you put all things on the crafting table, you won't get any message and you can't explore to craft it. I think that's a minor bug.

 

This may be actually tied to a new system of limiting recipe discovery for any items beyond the lowest tier. This should be mentioned in the R36 post.

 

Well the only issue I had with this that the system told me I had a 95% success rate, but by trying to create the stocking it occurred a failure about 30 plus times till I finally was able to create the stocking . (my tailoring skill did rise from 26 to 41 during my tries) If the system told me I had say a 2% chance to create it I would understand the difficulty I was having. So maybe this could be made alot clearer
