Invincible hoardes...except when you are in range for them to attack you

    Why is it that packs of enemies that seem to be standing around doing nothing are impervious to ranged attacks until you are close enough to draw their attention....and subsequently get mobbed?

    Because the devs do not have time to make a smart AI, many players just want to kill without any strategy, and the rest of the players complain about everything.

    Not even sure if I am being sarcastic since there is a lot of truth here.
