Is Brightbone Pass the new go-to group spot for experience?
<heads to brightbone pass for a look>
It saddens me XP farming at one location is an expected thing.
You shouldn't be surprised. People will always find the easiest way to get the maximum benefit.
Your question leads me to believe that this is yet another scene that I needn't bother to visit any more. Just recently I tried to get back in the game and thought to myself that I should dare a visit to Brightbone Pass (I hope I am thinking of the right place). I used to go there a lot to kill stags and bears and collect ore and mandrake back in the day when the control point was on a raised platform and the worst mobs were hardened skeletons. The platform afforded a lot of cover for a cowardly avatar like myself. Then the control point was flattened, taking away the cover, and the mobs got too difficult for me. Now it sounds like the scene is lost to me forever like so many others, and that is very disheartening.
I can't comment on the spawn as I haven't joined one of the groups yet. Honestly, CP's really aren't much fun.
A faction system would be interesting as a reason to maybe grind other places as that might be used to bring up a factions standing in a local area, this XP grinding at one location is good for the min maxers/balancing, but at what cost to their soul?
Seems like we went back to 2014 with all people farming CPs...but at least back then we had a few chests to loot, now are gone :s
Not very fan of static pve content tbh, I always expect something more dynamic, fun and new when I wait for updates and new content.
5 mill in 40 mins is very possible with 6
In addition. I've been seeing a lot more people hanging around the CP in Vertas Pass. I've been farming the troll a lot these last few weeks. It's been obvious something changed
It's true many Control Points have now made harder, but at the same time we do have many new harder zones to collect materials like East Vauban Foothills. You really should try that scene, you might like it a lot.
portal likes to design content that encourages groups of people to stand in one spot and spam skills.
I think its only some people that seem to like the grind. There are still many including myself that could care less about XP grinding and rather spend my time enjoying all sorts of different scenery. if anything they need more reasons to go to all zones which I suspect is coming with loot changes. I still think "drops" should be on named mobs that have a chance to spawn in random locations based on the faction they are. example named elf can appear in any elf spot in the game. this way loot is more random preventing people from just camping one area. There are also chests in the game that could be made more random on where they spawn in the game to make exploring more rewarding then the current system of farming madness for a 1% chance
