Thinks they should make some scale mail (similar armour that has many good styles if search for it)

Epic doesn't really mean anything anymore. Unless you're just talking about the design of it.

You know an armors good when it's like 400,000 IGG

no epic chain but its been asked for since I have played this game (2.5 years) and I have probably heard them say a dozen times that they would make it. the question pops up every few months.

I have focused my crafting on making chain since persistence and its sad that chain crafters are not equal. We get less things to make and up until recently there was even significantly less ornate chain versions for us to use (its actually probably still the case).

As a chain mail user... I ask… is there really a need for Epic chain?
I'd rather see different types of armor instead of just a rehash.

Yes, I'd like to see some good chainmail patterns at least. Is there any chainmail, that one can get as loot or from quests or whatever, that one can salvage for its pattern?
I don't mean the rusty stuff but more like that set of plate armor that one can get in one of the quests that starts in Aerie*, I believe.

*edit: Actually I think it starts in Resolute; Norgard Knightly Order Plate

You can’t use plate armor patterns on chain armor.

If you are addressing me, I know.

I would like to see at least as many options for chain as already exist for plate.

Even in the add-on store for patterns etc., I see multiple options for heavy plate; cloth; light armor; but only one option for chain... the Elven Elite Fighter Armor.
That's just an example... I would like to see more chain options that drop, or can be crafted, in-game.

Yeah the lack of chain armor patterns is frustrating........ and always being in a very high stretch goal.

Simple solution from the Pirate. Create mithril ingots from 1 meteoric ingot, 1 White Iron ingot and 2 Obsidian chips. Give it double the resistance and avoidance of plate with the fizzle rate of chain. @DarkStarr a suggestion for you to help miners and crafters. R/Boris/El Pirata

Actually, yes. In regards to how stack bonuses work; you can make guestimates on quantities of what an Epic Chainmail set would have; based on the differences inherit in the plate variances.

Chain and plate have slightly different bonuses in regards as to what is the 'most points' that are benificial to the type of armor type sub you want. This is mostly due to the distribution of defense/avoidance. As such, epic would see better overall gains as an epic version; as a general use set. It would likely beat out bone armor in this regard. Unlike plate, these options would allow for an improved mage-fighter and various other class archtypes. So a magic crit bonus on plate is useless, but a benefit to chain.

From the last livestream, it sounds like, later on when the obsidian Cultists finally drops their armor, you will be able to get patterns from scrap. Specifically, cloth, CHAINMAIL, and plate armor.

    Hope this will be soon....
