issues with char turning

does that explain why the past few releases the game has occasionally refused to let my character turn to face the direction she's going with mouse movement? not only was it keeping me facing the position of what i'd previously targeted (even when that target had been killed or moved to a different location) but it was deciding what my target WAS, too, and not telling me about it?

if my target is going to be what i'm facing, i have to be able to make a choice about what i'm facing.

It's not just a matter of autofacing. Sometimes the game actually refuses to let me turn. I will move forward with both mouse buttons to face my new target, but it only moves me and not turns me, even if my old target is dead.
