Item of Unlearning

This has been mentionned quite some times now but when will item of unlearning give us back 100% of the invested experience ? Do you see any problem with this @Chris ?

I know that some could blame the p2w aspect of the decision : after all, as long as you pay for this item, it allows you to save some experience points. But you still have to earn those points in the first place AND this item would only be useful to correct some bad past decisions.

 

It used to be 90%, but was changed to 100%.

I am glad there is an option to get back 100% since they are still making major adjustments to the game.

 

Sounds good but do you know where is the official statement about this please ?

 

Go look in the old patch notes - it was back when they started 100% unlearning for all skills and changed the item of unlearning.

 

I just checked and the only reference to a 100% experience refund is this one :

Nothing about the items of unlearning since the R49.

Hey thank you. I just don't want to sound a bit boring, but did the patch notes confirmed this somewhere. I will look for it too, but you have to agree that this can't be taken as an official statement.

Hmm, was that only for those releases with 100% unlearn on all skills? Or was that to be a permanent thing?

Reason I ask is because I used one during R53 and it was not 100% return.

 

Per Chris' quote above, sounds like a permanent change.

I looked at Steam and did not see any other unlearning changes other than back to 50% for unlearning with the red down arrow - untrain on the skill.

 

What does the tooltip say?

 

It really should say what percentage of your XP investment will be returned to you.

 

I'm not even sure how I got these, but it does indicate there is another tooltip/confirmation that further explains things. But hear what you are saying.

I took that screenshot just now, so you can see that the item of unlearning currently still returns 100% xp.

You can check xp return like this at any time and cancel without actually unlearning anything. Having the % return listed on the item would still help a lot though.
