[Known] All equipped tools not in bags but are

I have several tools equipped on my avatar. None of the tools are showing up in my bag. When i goto use the work stations it show my tool in the proper location

 

Same issue - tools are not showing in inventory.

 

they are not shown in crafting if equipped they show up greyed out under all tab

 

They show up in crafting, Look at the screen below where your inventory is at. You will see a tool used for that table if one is equipped.

 

sorry let me clarify: they are not shown in the crafting tab in inventory. I was not meaning the crafting table, where they will surely be shown if equipped

and since 625 they are shown in inventory all tab, crafting tab and sometimes housing tab...

Check the cog on the backpack 'all items' window. It's next to the word filter - you can hide all equipped tools. Is this selected to show?

 

Tools are hidden whether you hide them with the filter or not

Good on Port for getting people to tidy their backpacks. Too many slobs out there.

 

@Rook Strife I'm not sure if you are 100% joking but equipped tools are not hidden for me in this same live build.
For those having issues, since I have not heard back, I can only assume this info below fixed it for you?

The cog was already set to show tools.

I believe someone must have snuck in and ninja fixed it

It has been working the past few days.

 

I am finding it to be more of a how many items you carry. More item you have in inventory = more chances for your tools to not be viewable. testing more. @Lexie

I see the next release is still reporting this issue, so here you go....

Steps I have taken to reproduce this 100% of the time:

1. have your tools equipped
2. Fill up your inventory with any items. I first started with everything i owned. i was 2000+ over weight limit. ALTERNATIVE: having a certain number of items in your pack causes this as well (70 individual items)
3. Zone in out re log which ever gets the scene to reload
3. tools vanished. even when all items were placed back in chests tools still did not show. It took a re-log to see them again

Bug #: 48748 created. Thank you for providing the details! Without repro steps, no bug report, and ultimately the bug doesn't get fixed...

We are designed to work mostly through player reports as we are built for some rather heavy handed community participation. I rely on all you guys, the community, as small handful of people internally cannot catch everything. Full participation and involvement is critical in making the game better.
