[Known] Build 614 - Solace Bridge Outskirts - Gland Zombie Olfactory Gland

Description: I can't give the gland to Ackerley.

Details: Ackerley sent me on a quest for the olfactory gland, now he won't take it.

Steps to Reproduce: Not sure.

From what I recall, he didn't offer to take it right away. I had to talk to him a bit. Did you go through the keywords including those on the keyword bar (it's the small arrow icon if you have not clicked it before...)
I ask because I completed this under this same build #....

I did try every keyword. I left the scene and went back in. I restarted the game, rinsed and repeated. He would not take the gland...lol.

One thing I remembered is that on this character, Fionwyn, I had already done the quest. I was surprised to get the quest again. Perhaps this is where the problem is? I had no problem on a second character when I tested it. That character had never done the quest before.

 

Same problem. but never did the quest before.

 

This happened me to when I had completed quests before the newer task list system was introduced. It would try to give me quests I had completed, but my character was already flagged as having completed them. I do think that is where your particular problem is.

 

Check to see if you only have one gland and that it didn't give you two on accident. I assume you are not getting the exchange pop up that normally happens so you can hand it over?

And yes, I can not hand it over.
I destroyed the gland and tried it (a few days later) again after getting another gland from a zombie, but no chance to hand it over.
Maybe it will work when I have two of it? )))

I cannot get the quest started, but I do have the gland to turn in if I can get the quest.

 

I only have one gland.
