Title: Can't remove weapon from weapon rack

Details: I placed my sword in the crafted Carved Oak weapon rack and it looked really nice, but I need my sword, so I tried to remove it. Although I was in decoration mode, the sword wouldn't budge. I moved the rack to the side, but the sword is still stuck in an upright position, and I can't retrieve it.

Attenwood just appeared at my door and said it was a bug where an object can only be grabbed from one side. He said if it happens again before the fix goes in, just try grabbing the object from the other side. It might require some tricky camera maneuvering.

@Kara Brae How do you rotate your sword / book vertical? This has NEVER worked for me by tapping R (player hand guide), and I thought it was user error, but many others have confirmed they can't do it either.

 

I use the R key to rotate to a vertical position in the same way I use Q and E to rotate horizontally. If it isn't working, maybe you could try to re-map the function to another key?

 

I don't have the option to remap it. Never have. Is it something than can be modified in a config file? Is this setting not available to newer players. Only been playing since last September. Don't even see the option under Options -> Controls @Attenwood

 

did you remap the combine glyphs key? i think they're tied together

 

I set it to none... before I had it on `. Are you saying remapping it to R should fix deco vert rotate?

Never mind... that is EXACTLY what happened! Wow guys!

 

The key you have mapped for 'start glyph combo' is the key you can use to rotate items vertically (default is R). I had this problem yesterday and did some extensive testing to figure this out. So for example if you have 'start glyph combo' mapped to ` you can use ` to rotate deco vertically.

 

As indicated, working as currently expected. I have a ticket open to change it so that it acts independent of the Start Glyph Combo key.
