Title: 649 - Crafting Message add 4xWax for recovering then the crafting station is no more able to craft
Reproduction Rate: 1/1
Blocker? partial - need to leave crafting station and reuse it
Details: did a lot of Crafting and had about 50% failures and 25% exceptional on Bone armor and then this popped up

after i choose recover items I got me the chest bone armor but the table was no longer able to craft

I could place items with recipes but the Craft-Button stayed grey and was unclickable

so
A: what would happen if i didn't have the 4xWax to recover? Would i Loose all ingerdients and the crafted item?
B: why did the crafting station decline to craft afterwards?



Steps to Reproduce: craft a lot with 67% success chance and 23% exceptional

Great questions. Yes, you would lose all the mats and the item. But with some additional wax, you can save it.

From the player instructions: "A crafting attempt can fail but allow for a Recovery. This allows the crafter to spend additional fuel resources to salvage the attempt and create a basic version of the item as per a normal Success. Declining to spend additional fuel will result in a normal Failed attempt. Note that a Recovery cannot happen during a batch crafting attempt."

I hope everyone sees that last part To clarify, recovery is not necessarily a new R52 release option. It's something that was submitted under a prior release, but was not working correctly

With the table not working, you experienced a crafting table lock up. I've submitted a bug for that: #: 56799. I believe it is related to your item recovery.

Hm, I'm confused a bit Lexie.

Previously, if you fail, you just lose fuel. This has now changed to lose -everything- if you don't pay for recovery? Intentionally?
If batching, with no recover option, do you still just lose fuel, or is ore going to start disappearing?
Just trying to clarify what part of this is the intended part....

if i decline to use more fuel does the crafting result in
a) loosing "all the mats and the (crafted) item" as you said (catastrophic failure!!)
or
b) "a normal Failed attempt" like you quoted the instructions (which will only lead to loosing the fuel!)
?
