Not sure if this one is correct or not, but most "Bludgeon" weapons will produce metal scraps when you salvage them on the Carpentry table. I think the only exceptions are wands and staves.

But, axes, maces, and hammers, etc. all have a "head" that typically salvages into metal scraps. Maybe the "club" needs to be labeled like the wands/staves if they are in fact all wood?

Yes, but a hammer has a metal head. A club does not. A club is a piece of wood. If it had a head it would be an axe, mace, or hammer (depending on the nature of the head). In addition, it's clearly depicted as not having a head.

I realize that, and that's pretty much what I was saying.

I think what they did was just classified the club as the hammer/axe/mace type of bludgeon instead of the wand/staff type. I even stated that it was all wood and it should be classified like the wand/staff.
