Title: Nameplate for players in party don't show up if too far away
    Reproduction Rate: 100% ?
    Blocker? Nah, but very annoying
Details: If I am in a party with a player, and on different ends of a zone, I should be able to see player nameplate so I can find them. But if they walk too far away, I cannot see player nameplate and cannot find them to walk to them. Seems like something might have been done on purpose, or I have a setting wrong? I don't know, but I do have names on (N key)
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1. Go to East Perrenial Trail with a friend
    2. Party with that friend
    3. Move far away from friend
    4. Note that no nameplate is visible in the horizon, so cannot find and walk to friend

And sometimes player nameplate for others is not showing up at all. Not a settings issue.

I honestly don't think it is something you are doing wrong. They seem to have a short range at the moment. I submitted it for review: 46493.

I assumed this was deliberate. Sooo hard to navigate in areas I am unfamiliar with, or even to find an in game event venue like release parties, etc. If I zone in or get killed, I am wandering around randomly, just trying to stumble upon my party. :(

range seems to be fixed on 614, but it's not sorting in front of anything. you have to have an unobstructed view, which is unlikely.

Yes! Imagine trying to help a new player on free trial, "Follow me I'm an expert!"...then you go to a 1 skull scene like East Perenniel Trail and you lose him, cannot find him, cannot save him etc...all because the nameplate doesn't show up unless you're like, 10 feet from them.
I watched him walk towards me with unobstructed view; we were in a party, and his nameplate did not show up until he was literally 10 feet from me or so. So I don't think it has anything to do with 3D culling or whatever!

EDIT: Oh I mis-read your comment, range was fixed in 614...I haven't tested it today so I will see. Just been watching the patch notes...thanks for the info.

I wish a dev or bugsmasher would get this listed on the "known issues" for R42, as this is pretty gamebreaking for partying up with people! @Lexie @Attenwood !
