[Known] No item from the Queen Spider (Spoilers)

Details: I found the Spider Queen, but no item dropped after field dressing.
I need the item to advance a Vigilante quest.
Steps to Reproduce:
User Specs:
OS: Windows 10 (10.0.0) 64bit
CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-4690K CPU @ 3.50GHz (4) System RAM: 16326
GPU: AMD Radeon R9 200 Series GPU RAM: 4073

I was able to get the item, but it was in online mode.

The first time it did not happen was for offline mode.

I will try again in offline mode later.

 

What must happen the Queen Spider appears? (online mode).
Just seeing a few small spiders ...

 

I couldn't find the queen either and tried for a few hours online. I switched to single player mode and the queen was right there. I killed her and got 2 glands.

My guess is online someone tamed the queen thinking she'd be a good pet and ran off with her. And there can only ever be one queen up at once.

As for not getting anything when you killed her, I noticed i had a 97% chance to skin her, so maybe you got very unlucky and it failed. Try in single player again and see if you get the venom.

If the chance to get the item is skill based, that should be changed since this is a new player area.

I think my offline field dressing skill is at 40, which may explain why I did not get it on the first attempt.

My online field dressing skill is at 80, so that is a big difference.

 

2nd attempt, no luck yet.



My field dressing skill is fairly high at 69. It seems only offline mode is affected.

 

Just fixed what i could on this issue. The spawner is now set to respawn the queen every 180 seconds. I also made the field dressing skill check "0" so it is more lowbie friendly. Lastly, I made it so at least something always drops whether you're on the quest or not (eyes & legs when not on the quest, and of course the necessary venom sacks when you are). Thanks for the feedback.

If there is still a disparity between offline and online once this goes live, then that's a different issue top people will need to look into.

 

Yes, there still seems to be an issue with getting the item in offline mode and I will try again.

I was able to complete the quest in online mode by using the poison on the Vigilante Food Supply, getting the manifesto from Phineas and turning it in to Alberic and Bearfield.

 

I can confirm that it is an offline issue. I skin the queen over and over with nothing in the results box/window after completing the skin. Tried leaving the instance and returning, shutting down completely, nothing.

 

I can also confirm this offline issue. I tried it on a brand new character and I only have a field dressing of 11. Every time I skin the queen, nothing appears on the body.
