[Known]Patching to R40

I have 2 PC's that this happened to and 1 Laptop.

My mouse is stuck inside Launch/Patch Window and cant get out unless I hit Alt-Tab, or I have to reboot PC.

My Laptop always requires me to Reboot as it cant get out of the Launch/Patch window.

Hello! We haven't seen any other reports of this yet... I'm wondering if perhaps you have some other software that might be contributing to this issue? For example, some kind of mouse software that lets you move your mouse between different machines, or anything like that? Thanks!

No sorry this is not the case for me.
1 PC is all Razer Chroma (Keyboard and Mouse), other PC is Corsair RGB Mouse and Keyboard, and Laptop is Dell using a Logitech mouse. All 3 are doing the same thing.

PC with Razer equipment has also the following issues with SotA only, no other programs:
1) Tab button does not work at login
2) Mouse Wheel does not work inside game
Tab button does not work inside game
3) Mouse conflict at login (video)
4) Enter key works about 50% of time within game

PC with Corsair has these issues with SotA only:
1) Tab Button does not work in Login (but does work in game)
2) Mouse wheel does not work
3) Enter key does not work in the game (unless repeatedly pushing it)
4) Mouse conflict at login (video)

Laptop with Logitech has these issues with SotA only:
1) Tab button does not work with login screen.
2) Mouse wheel does not work
3) Enter key does not work inside game (unless repeatedly pushing it)
4) Mouse conflict at login (video)

Again these issue are only when/within SotA.

If I alt/Tab to a different window everything works fine (mouse/ Tab / Enter) and also works fine in other games of toggling between SotA and Skyrim/etc...

Crazy huh!!!!

4th PC... work fine and no issues. And of course this is the old dinosaur one lol!!!

I was able to find it and I was able to put a temporary patch on it myself but I need your assistance.

Problem identified and pinpointed... Found software that was on all PC with problems and NOT on 4th PC (which ran SotA without issue)

In short... I noticed that when trying to assign a Key in the setting it would immediately say "Joy Stick -Negative..."

I don't have any joysticks connected and I did nothing to engage as assignment... something is not right!!!

Then I thought I do have these on my PC's (for CAD and PS Design):

and the software/drivers has conflict with SotA ONLY...

Anyone with this installed on PC must disable the software running in background through task manager.

Is there a way to disable joystick configuration or something to bypass doing this every time playing SotA?

@BurningToad , Thanks for the feedback and it's about 95% fixed!!!
Only problem is at the login screen. After Typing the "<username>" the TAB button will not go to the next field"<password>"



If that gets fixed then we are 100%.

TAB works 100% in game (so far with my day of testing)
