[Known] Purify burst causing my pet's max health to drop to 37 from 334

When practicing some skills from the non-combat bar on my relatively new alt, I noticed that purify burst caused the health bar to change from 334/334 to 37/37.

I healed it back up and tried it again and it is repeatable. When I hit heal pet, the max goes back to 334, and the 37 hit points goes up to 94 as if a normal heal was cast on an injured pet. Then, I can use heal a few more times to get the indicator back to 334/334.

If I hit purify burst several times in a row, only the first time causes the pet's health to go to 37/37. After that it remains 37/37 until the healing begins.

I dismissed my pet, and re-tried the experiment. It did not fail for several times. Since it started in the Oracle building, I went back in there and tried it again. It worked correctly several times so I was getting frustrated thinking that it had fixed itself. I was going through all of the spells I was practicing on the non-combat bar. Thinking that the sequence might be necessary to duplicate the bug. After several more times the bug returned.

My non-combat bar has these test spells on it, from 1 to 0. enlightenment, strength of earth, purify burst, camouflage, heal creature, healing burst, vanish, celestial blessing, blink, summoning.

Of course, the summoning hasn't finished its cooldown most times I go through the spells from 1 to 9. I just skip it until the pet refresh timer has finished. Then, I dismiss the pet and summon it back.

This time I hit the heal creature first. Then I went back to 1 thru 9. When I did purify burst, the pet went to 197/37 for a second or two, then it corrected itself to 37/37. Some mechanism adjusted it back so the actual health was not more then the max health. But, it didn't correct the max health back to 334.

I am able to recreate this bug with a different avatar. But, it is not every time, and the bug is slightly different sometimes.

In this video at about 1:15 see the strength of earth causing the pig to go to 37 health instead of the purify burst. Then, the purify burst raises the health back up to max. It is as if there is code trying to unbreak the bug now.

In the second video strength of earth takes the health of the pig to 37 but the pig suddenly gets the health back a half second later.

Now, you may need some patience, I had to try this for five or ten minutes before it broke. Be patient and maybe you can duplicate this or similar behavior.

I am able to recreate this bug in patch 878

 

I will delete post in critical and here it is

This is critical since if you are in fight with a pet and the pet is damaged and you are damaged you could Kill the pet. This will result in lose of a pet which is critical for the fight. Now even more critical if you do this with one of the Lose Pet on Death pets they are now Gone

As a tamer one Spends ALOT of time and effort into taming and working on skills to use a pet now there is a risk of not only plain old dying but the lose of a per outright.



As you can see my pet went down to 200 hps this is Critical. Sure I know about it now and can work to keep pet away if in need to heal BUT if in a tough situation I stand to risk the pet just to heal???
